Harland "Hal" Warren

Harland Warren, 53, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at his home. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harding Cemetery at a later date. Harland was born July 3, 1960 in Ottawa, Illinois to Harland and Helen (Bowers) Warren. Harland worked for his father as a Paralegal and also was a substitute teacher for Ottawa Elementary Schools. He was a member of Harding Methodist Church and a past member of Indian Creek Protection Association. He played softball in Ottawa for many years. He loved animals; especially cats. He was a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He is survived by his niece, Karen (Robert) Norris of Streator; three great nieces and nephew, Audrey Lynn Plique, April Marie Smith, and Robert Henry Norris III; his special friend, Debbie Jennings; and his two favorite cats, Peanut and Blackey He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Anne Smith; and one brother, John Warren.
