Gregory Shields

Gregory E. Shields, 28, of Marseilles passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at his home. A celebration of life will 2:00 - 5:00 Saturday, September, 15, 2012 at the VFW in Ottawa. Ottawa Funeral Home oversaw his cremation. Gregory was born December 7, 1983 in Toledo, Ohio to Terry and Penny Shields. He attended Ottawa Township High School. Greg won many trophies and MVP awards for his skills in wheelchair basketball. He had a big laugh and smile that would light up a room. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his parents, Terry and Penny Shields; four sisters, Jennifer Miller, Kris (Jeff) Salyards, Angela Shields, and Mackenzie Shields; seven brothers, Terry Jr., Nathan (Marcia), Jonathon, Luis, Jesse, Jordan, and Matthew Shields; his grandparents, Edward (Betty) Jess of Ransom, Helen Fredricksen of Iowa, and Pat Shields of Texas; three nieces; and two nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Shields. Memorials may be directed to the family or donors choice.
