Gordon Nourie

Gordon J. Nourie, 71, of Ottawa passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at St. Patrick's Church. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Knights of Columba in attendance. Prayers will be at 4:00. He will be buried at St. Columba Cemetery. Gordon was born November 24, 1941 in Watseka, Illinois to Marvin and Anita (Mercier) Nourie. He owned and operated Nourie and Associates accounting firm. He married Sandy Beemer April 25, 1964 in Martinton, Illinois. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree, and its honor guard. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; one son, Joel (Christina) of Chicago; one grandson, Colin; one sister, Karen (John) Duffin of Urbana; one sister in law, Susan Nourie of Kankakee; and one brother, Terry (Cheryl) Nourie of Normal. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Larry. Pallbearers will be Reese Duffin, Allen Stein Kraus, Geoff Beemer, Brian Nourie, Jason Nourie, and Michael Nourie. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Church or Marquette Academy.
