Gloria Ann Engel

Gloria Ann Engel, 84, of LaSalle, Il, died Tuesday July 14, 2009, at her home. A Celebration of Life will be 9:00-11:00 am Saturday July 18 at Ottawa Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am with the Rev. Gary McKee officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home. Gloria was born March 12, 1925 in Ottawa, Il., to Leo and Ramona (Padilla) Padilla. She married John Engel October 26, 1940. He died April 14, 1992. She worked at Libby Owens Ford for 47 years. She is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Engel of LaSalle, Anita (Jerry) Molinoski of Austin, TX, and Sharon Stewart of LaSalle; two sons, Nick (JoAnn) Engel, and Gary (Laurie) Engel both of LaSalle; nineteen grandchildren; twenty nine great grandchildren; and her special friend, Henry Moreno who was made of the same cloth as PaPa. To meet two in a lifetime is very special. She is preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, and seven sisters. Memorials may be directed to the family.
