STREATOR -- Glenn F. Morrison, 78, of Streator, died peacefully April 19, 2008 at Pleasant View Luther Home, with his friends and family at his side. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Ottawa with military services. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ottawa Funeral Home, with prayers at 4 p.m. and the Knights of Columbus in attendance. Mr. Morrison was born May 26, 1929, in DePue, to Glenn and Frances (Hall) Morrison. He married Mary Twohey on June 23, 1951, at St. Columba Church. She passed away Nov. 27, 1988. He was a tax assessor for La Salle County for more than 22 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge and Operating Engineers Local 150. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Morrison of Dixon; three sons, John (Bambi) of Minor, Ill., Glenn Thomas (Sandy) of Fairborn, Ohio, and Jeff (Lori) of Normal; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eileen (Jim) Andree of Blackstone. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a brother, Gene Robert. Pallbearers will be John, Jeff, Glenn and Kathy Morrison, Les Skaggs and Jimmy Andree.
