Gladys A. Koch, 67, of Ottawa, died Tuesday, March 24, at Kindred Care Hospital in Sycamore, Illinois. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ottawa Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lisa Hadler officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home. She was born April 16, 1941, in Saratoga Township, to Robert and Nola (Stephens) McMillen. She married LeRoy Koch on April 21, 1962, in Wyoming, Ill. He died April 22, 2008. She was a bus driver for more than 29 years. She was a member of First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, Red Hatters and was a past member of the Moose Lodge. Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne (Patrick) Hughes of Ottawa; three sons,Mark (Sandy) and Michael (Michele), both of Ottawa, and Marty (Megan) of Jackson, Mich.; 11 grandchildren, Heidi and Dave Hendrix, Ryan and Emily Hughes, Wendy and Dustin Ahearn and Cory, Conner, Adam, Caitlyn and Aaron Koch; two great-grandchildren,Grace Hendrix and Griffin Hughes; one sister,Margaret Sue Cornell of Kewanee; and one brother,Robert McMillen of Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, James in infancy; and a sister, Mary Peterson. Pallbearers will be Cory, Conner, Adam and Aaron Koch, Dustin Ahearn, Dave Hendrix and Ryan Hughes. Memorials may be made to the family.
