Gerald M. 'Jerry' Stevens Sr. 1944-2011 OTTAWA Gerald M. "Jerry" Stevens Sr., 66, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, at Ottawa Pavilion. A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Jerry was born June 9, 1944, in Ottawa, to Henry and Ida (Rossiter) Stevens. He married Joann Fleming in 2002 in Marseilles. He was a member of the BAC Local No. 6 Union and also the Marseilles Lions Club. He loved fishing, hunting and trapping, but most of all, loved his family and friends. Jerry is survived by his wife, Joann; his former wife, Anita Stevens of Ottawa; one son, Gerald Jr. of Ottawa; three daughters, Karen (Vic Biffany) Husted of Granville, Deborah (Jim) Arwood of Dayton and Cynthia Simpkins of Marseilles; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Stevens of Ottawa; and one sister, Patricia (Jess) Guerrero of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Stevens; two sisters, Darlene Stevens and Beverly Rice; a son-in-law, Izaak Simpkins; and a stepson, Ronald Fleming.
