George F Ehret, 78, of Seneca, IL, died, Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Joliet Area Community Hospice. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home, with the Msgr. Raymond Boyle officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. American Legion Post 457 will Fold & Present the Flag. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. George Ehret was born, March 2, 1933, in Busch, MO., to the late Fritz and Alfa (Wood) Ehret. He married Beverly Miller on January 22, 1957 in Pontiac, IL.. He worked for Caterpiller in Joliet as a Drill Press Operator from 1955 till 1987. He was a member of Joliet Caterpiller Union . He served in the U. S. Army from 1953 till 1955. He is survived by his wife, one son George (Shelley) Jr. of Grand Ridge, one daughter Linda (Hank) Lamberson of Ashburn Mo. five grandchildren Tony & Steven Lamberson, Tammy Taylor, Shannon & Trevor Ehret; four great Grandchildren Joe, Jakob, Jeramie and Gage. Two brothers Fred (Vernetta) Ehret and Andrew (Maureen) Ehret, two sisters Paulina Thompkins, Lola Sinclair & sister-in-law Alice Ehret He was preceded in death by 1 Granddaughter Christina Lamberson, one brother Lawrence and one sister Mary Jane McGeorge. Pallbearers will be Dwayne & Trevor Ehret, Tony Lamberson, Mark Hougas,Kirk Simpson,, & Junior Goff. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Ehret, Joe Lamberson,Chuck Ehret, Pat McGeorge, & Eldon Hoelzer. Memorials may be directed to Joliet Area Community Hospice or to the Family.
