Gary L Sampson, of Kalispell, Montana, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 after a long battle with kidney disease. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Norman) Sampson, formerly of Ottawa; two brothers, Don (Arlene) Sampson, and Marty (Judy) Sampson; two sisters; Sandy (Tim) Duncan and Shelia (Gary) Modesitt; along with many nieces and nephews. Gary was an avid outdoorsman, member of Carpenters- Millwrights Local 911 and 808 and co-founder of the North Valley Sportsman Club. He was active in the Flathead County 4-H Fair, Youth for Hunting & Fishing and Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation. He was an intelligent, humorous and loving man who was his happiest when roaming the mountains and great wilderness of God's country. Rest you now my house of clay, You've done your work, while on earth I stay. Awaiting me here, are hands that love, Sent to guide me to those in heaven above. Do not grieve, though on earth for a while, I've now returned Home to my fairer isle.
