Garnet Paquette

Garnet A. Paquette, 66, of Ottawa, IL, died, Thursday, February 17, 2011 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Monday, February 21, 2011 at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 - 5 pm, Sunday, February 20 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with prayers at 2:00 pm with the Catholic Daughters of American. Garnet was born, February 22, 1944, in Ottawa, Illinois, to Samuel and Geneva (Gribble) Allen. She married Thomas Paquette on September 8, 1962 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Catholic Daughters of American, Marquette Century Club She was a lifelong supporter of Marquette Academy, traveling all over the State cheering on her beloved Crusaders. She loved to travel and was a diehard Cubs fan. She is survived by her Husband, of Ottawa, one daughter Lisa Paquette of Ottawa, and one son Ronald (Julie) Paquette of Ottawa three grandchildren, Randi, Dexter and Carlee Paquette, one sister Gloria (Daniel) Pryde of LaSalle and her sister in law Judy Allen of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her Parents, one brother Gary Allen. Pallbearers will be Dexter Paquette, Dan Cheatham, Don Kiesig, Jeff Crowhurst, Bob Walsh and John Heth.
