Freddy Valdez

"Freddy" Alfredo Valdez, 63, of Ottawa passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015. A memorial service to honor his life will be held Sunday, November 8 from 2:00 - 4:00 at the Ottawa VFW with a luncheon to follow. Cremation rites have been accorded. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements. Freddy was born December 6, 1951 in Pharr, Texas to Ernesto and Hortencia (Garza) Valdez. He was employed at Cigarette Depot and previously at North States Service Station and Caterpillar of Aurora. Freddy was a great friend to many and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by one daughter, Julie Valdez of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Shaina Valdez, Hannah Valdez, and Alivia Haws; two great grandchildren, Bryson Valdez and Maliyah Kidd; five siblings, Tommy (Becky) Valdez of Mendota, Elsa (Steve) Martuzzo of Pontiac, Rudy Valdez of Ottawa, Bobby Valdez of Ottawa, and Richard Valdez of Ottawa; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard Buckardt; and five siblings, Jimmy Valdez, David Valdez, Ruben Valdez, Beatrice Contreras, and Benito Valdez. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to his family.
