Frank Greene

Frank Greene, 70, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at his home. Memorial service for Frank will be 11:00 Saturday, August 25, 2012 with Rev. Donna Trinko officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 - 11:00 Saturday, August 25 prior to services at Ottawa Funeral Home. He will be buried in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Frank was born on February 17, 1942 to Ralph and Arnata (Barron) Greene. He married Sharon Sampson on February 10, 1993 in Florida. He worked for US Silica for 35 years. He was a member of AARP, Local 31, and was a volunteer at the hospital. Frank enjoyed fishing, all of his life, hunting, and he loved the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; one daughter, Amber (Terry) Gamble of Missouri; one son, Bill (Jamie) Greene of New York; seven step children, Debby (Tom) Graham, Becky (Steve) Wagner, Ed (Tammy) Sampson, Cassie Ritchie, Allan Sampson, Kevin (Cindy) Sampson, and Carl (Lori) Sampson; nineteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Concar of Rockford; and multiple nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; and two sisters. Memorials may be directed to the family or to the American Caner Society.
