Francis L. Wiza

Francis L. "Frank" Wiza, 73, of Ottawa, IL, died, Saturday, February 5, 2011 at his home in Ottawa. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Friday, February 11, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi, in Ottawa, with the Msgr. Jerome Ham officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 PM Friday at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 pm, Thursday, prayers at 5:00 February 10 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Frank was born February 19, 1937, in Chicago, IL. to Francis and Grace (Reading) Wiza MD. He married Beverly Zager on November 11, 1958 in Chicago. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and the Bass and Gill Club. He is survived by his wife; one son, Francis (Laura) Wiza of Marseilles; one daughter, Sherry (Daniel) Shilney of Montgomery Il; seven grandchildren, Karla, Danny, Kari, and Doug Shilney, Frank IV, Drake and Lance Wiza; one great-grandson, Aiden Shilney; three sisters, Jean Wagner, Sister Yvonne and Susan (Bill) Pawlowski. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society.
