Frances Miletiz

OTTAWA -- Frances "Fran" Miletiz, 91, of Ottawa, died Saturday, Sept. 8, at Pleasant View Luther Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa with the Rev. Ronald Dodd officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Mrs. Miletiz was born Oct. 5, 1915, in Chicago, to Joseph and Mary (Cyran) Slisz. She married John "Phil" Miletiz on Oct. 10, 1942, at Queen of Angels in Chicago. He died Aug. 4, 2005. She was a bookkeeper for 42 years at C-B Distributers. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, where she volunteered. She also volunteered at the Easter Seals office. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Richard) Rockwood of Blue Island; and two grandsons, Mark and Paul Rockwood.
