Frances Applebee

September 30, 1947 — July 27, 2016

Frances "Ninny" Applebee was born September 30, 1947 and has been sadly missed since she passed away on July 27, 2016 at Morris Hospital at the age of 68 years young. Ninny wanted to let everyone know that her work here is done. She received a call and an offer she couldn't turn down. This offer comes with many perks; music, laughter, love, books, fish to catch, being the first one to release a snowflake come winter, and a family reunion with family she hasn't seen in a long time. Her courageous battle with death is a result of her stubbornness, refusing to follow doctors orders, and raising havoc for almost seven decades. She worked for Burns Security for many years until she received her certification in Phlebotomy and worked for Provena St. Joes Hospital. She couldn't ever drive past a garage sale sign and absolutely loved going to thrift stores; especially Goodwill. She was such a kind woman who would do anything for anyone she met. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She has been reunited with her parents, A.J. and Darlene (Farrell) Moore; her sister, Tammy Foss; and many other family members.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Dennis Coleman of Hampton, TN, Tracy (Dan) Read of Seneca, and Larry (Ashley) Applebee of Grand Ridge; a brother, Allen (Cindy) Moore of ; a sister, Debbie (Dan) Szafranski; her brother-in-law, Randy Foss; her life companion, Gerald Farmer from Marseilles; seven grandchildren, Amie Coleman, Felicia (Zach) Schumaker, Mykenzie, Hailee, and Madison Applebee, Daniel and Erica Reed, and Katherine and Bryan Bowdine; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials maybe directed to her family for her grandchildren's education.

A memorial service has been planned at a later date. Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home oversaw her cremation.
