Florence H. Veith

Florence Veith, 98, of Ottawa died Monday, June 08, 2009 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church with the Rev. Gerald Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at Ottawa Funeral Home Thursday June 11, 2009. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Florence was born March 3, 1911 in Waltham Township to Arthur and Ellen (Murphy) Aubry. She married William A. Veith, September 2, 1933 at St. Mary's Church in Utica. He died November 10, 1983. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of Americas, The Mendota Elks, and AARP. She is survived by two daughters, Jane (Don) Goetsch and Judy (Glen) Dougherty both of Ottawa; three sons, William Jr. (Shirley) Veith of Ottawa, Tim Veith of Ottawa, and Joseph (Sharon) Veith of Streator; twenty one grandchildren ; forty six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by three sisters, Eileen Slingsby, Frances Aubry, and Mary Datti; one brother, Authur Aubry. Pallbearers will be her grand and great grandchildren. Memorials may be directed for Masses at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
