Florence Katrein

Florence Katrein, 96, of Zephyrhills, FL, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at West Brook Manor Assisted Living.

Funeral Ceremony will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 2, 2022  at Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am at Ottawa Funeral Home prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.

Florence was born September 1, 1925, in Ottawa, IL, to Carl and Alma (Boness) Haage. She married William "Pete" Katrein on April 21, 1945 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa. He passed away on April 16, 1997. While she lived in Illinois, she was a member of St. Columba Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Daniel (Linda) Katrein of Zephyrhills, FL and James (Cindi) Katrein of Ottawa; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and her sister, Louise Harris.

Florence was preceded in death by parents; her son, Anthony Katrein; her sister, Alma Joslin; her brother, Carol Haage Jr; her great grandson, James; her great great granddaughter, Paige; and her great great grandson, John.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the family.
