Florence Gordon

Florence Gordon, 66, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at St. Columba Church, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 5:00. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Florence was born February 3, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to Harry and Mildred (Briggs) Kennedy. She married Robert Gordon on February 4, 1967 at Queen of Apostles Church in Riverdale, Illinois. She was a member of St. Columba Church. She is survived by her husband, Bob; three sisters, Betty Coniglio of Schererville, IN, Millie (Erick) Peart of Maroa, IL, and Mary Kay (David) Curatolo of Sauk Village, IL; one brother, Harry (Ruth) Kennedy of Lockport; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers will be Richard, David, William, and Douglas Stafford, Frank Youngblood, and Harry Kennedy. Honorary pallbearer will be Gordon Stafford. Memorials may be directed to St. Columba Restoration Fund or OSF St. Elizabeth Hospice.
