Florence A. (Flaherty) Meaney

Florence Meaney, 104, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Thursday May 26, 2022 at Ottawa Pavilion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Saturday June 4, 2022 at St. Patrick's Church, with Rev. Gary Caster officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home Rosary at 4:45 pm. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.

Florence was born November 22, 1917, in Ottawa, IL, to Harold and Margaret (Shannon) Flaherty . She married William Duckworth  and then married Lawrence Meaney on April 5, 1968 at Ottawa, IL.

She worked at Peltier Glass Co. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Naplate; AARP Women Club and Volunteer of  Ottawa Regional Hospital.

She is survived by one son Jack John Duckworth, eleven grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Florence was preceded in death by parents, both husbands William Duckworth & Lawrence Meaney, two daughters, Rita and Florence, two sons  William and James Duckworth, her sister Cecilia Nink.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
