Evelyn Wignes

Evelyn Wignes, 83, of Marseilles passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Pleasant View.

Funeral service will be 11:00 Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home with Pastor Tami Perryman officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 Wednesday, one hour prior to services, at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Evelyn was born July 24, 1936, at home in rural Seneca to Clarence and Bernice (Hoie) Wignes. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Sponge Cushion in Morris for 37 years. She loved animals and shopping. She was an avid Chicago Bulls and Chicago Bears fan.

She is survived by her brother, Lyle (Mary) Wignes; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Cheryl) Wignes, Cheri (Scott) Holman, Cindy (Kevin) Miller, Clarence (Dee Dee) Wignes, Clifford Wignes, Patty (Larry) Hake, and Joe (Nadene) Vicich; fourteen great-nieces and nephews; and six great-great nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Anna Mae Vicich and Carole Connor; and her niece, JoAnn Carretto.

Pallbearers will be Jeff, Clarence and Clifford Wignes, Scott Holman, Kevin Miller, Larry Hake, and Joe Vicich.
