Evelyn Dougherty

Evelyn A. Dougherty, 79, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Edwards Hospital in Naperville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, September 15, 2014 at St. Columba Church with Rev. Corey Kreingel officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:30 am Monday, September 15, 2014 prior to services at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rosary being recited at 11:15 am. She will be buried in St. Columba Cemetery. Evelyn was born July 26, 1935 in Ottawa, Illinois to Ray and Jessie (Gaughan) Parks. She was a member of St. Columba Church. She is survived by two sons, John Dougherty and Ed (Leslie) Dougherty; one daughter, Kathleen (Grant) Jenkins; seven grandchildren, Jason, Travis, Caleb, Tatum, and Brogan Dougherty, and Alex (Heather) and Nicklaus Jenkins; two great-grandchildren, Jakob Dougherty and Maddison Jenkins; two sisters, Alyce Harte and Rita Beardsley. She is preceded in death by one son in infancy, Joseph Dougherty; and five siblings, Ray, Thomas, and James Parks, Jesse Haws, and Marian Tuleck. Pallbearers will be Jason Dougherty, Alex Jenkins, Caleb Dougherty, and Jakob Dougherty. Memorials may be directed to family.
