Evelyn Bennett

Evelyn (Agatha) McIntyre Bennett, 88 of Seneca, Illinois, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012. Funeral Service for Evelyn will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca, with Rev. Kris Zierke officiating. Visitation will be 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Evelyn was born on February 2, 1924 to Earl and Margaret (Parker) McIntyre. She married Leroy Bennett on January 25, 1941. He died in 1988. Together they raised thirteen children in Seneca, Illinois. Evelyn is survived by four daughters, Betty (Ben) Neal of Peoria, Sue (Bill) Weatherington of Pekin, Mary (John) McIntyre of Marseilles, Louise (Dave) McCumsey of Homosassa, Florida; five sons, Donny (Joan) Bennett of Ottawa, John Bennett of Seneca, Ronnie (Denice) Bennett of Marseilles, Danny (Sherry) Bennett of Norwood, and Timmy (Tina) Bennett of Ottawa; and approximately 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one sister; her husband, Leroy Bennett; a daughter, Evelyn Wilcox; three sons, Butch Bennett, Billy Bennett, and Wilbur Bennett; two grandchildren, Davey McCumsey and Gary Johnson; and two great-grandchildren, Danny Lynn Bivens and Kilona Delanie Kyle. Pallbearers will be three grandsons, Adam Bennett, Scott Weatherington, T.J. Tipton; a great grandson, James Neal; and family friends, Mike Bailey, John Carr, Chuck Lewis, and Ricky Barla.
