Eva S. Castillo

Eva S. Castillo, 89, of, Joliet IL, passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 30th, 2023.

Visitation will be held on Sunday December 3rd from 1-3 pm and Monday from 9-10 am at Ottawa Funeral Home. A mass will be held at St. Columba at 10:30 am on Monday December 4th. Burial will be in Ottawa at St. Columba Cemetery 12 pm.

Eva was born April 14, 1934, in La Salle, IL, to Michael and Elisa Aguayo. She was married to Anthony G. Castillo.

Eva loved her family deeply. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, & great grandmother. She was an avid reader, puzzle doer, and enjoyed taking care of her home & surroundings. She will be loved always and deeply missed.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael (Candy) Castillo and Anthony Jr. (Tammy); her sister, Mary Jane (George) Hernandez; her four grandchildren, Cyndi (James), Lisa (Tim), Jane (Roger), and Eric; as well as her great grandchildren, Ryan, Emma, JC, Eric Jr, Isabel, and Lainie; and numerous family members and friends.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anthony; her brother, Robert (Mary); and her granddaughter, Kimberly.
