Eugene "Gene" C. Woods, 76, of Ottawa, IL, died, Sunday, January 18, 2009 at his home. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with the Seymour Halford officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 pm, Wednesday, January 21 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Eugene "Gene" Woods was born Friday, August 19, 1932, in Freedom Twp., to the late James and Alma (Ostrem) Woods. He married Nancy Woods on November 30, 1952 at Ottawa, IL. He Farmed all his life and Retired from PQ Corp in Utica. He is survived by his wife,5-Children;Timothy (Johanna) Woods of Terre Haute, IN, Brian (Deb) Woods of Utica, Susan (Brad) Bristol of Sheridan, Michael (Jody) Woods of Ottawa, and Lee Ann (Jon) McLennan of Norway; 11 Grandchildren,and 19 Great-Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and 1-Brother Bernard Woods. Pallbearers will be Jason, Jeremy, and Josh Woods; Matt Bristol, Jon McLennan, and Marty Cox. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesse Woods, Jim Kueteman, Bob McLachlan, George Miller, Kenneth George, Dick, Don, and Leonard Brown. Memorials may be directed to Donors Choice.
