Esther E. Meagher

Esther M. Meagher, 98, of Ottawa passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to services at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Columba Cemetery. Esther was born October 31, 1913 in Granville, Illinois to John and Eunice (Briddick) Capello. She married Francis Meagher, who preceded her in death in 1998. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa. She is survived by two sons, Francis Meagher of Ottawa and Michael (Linda) Meagher of Rotonda, Florida; three daughters, Patricia (James) George of Ottawa, Maureen (Jerry) Farmer of Gadsden, Alabama, and Diane (Larry) Bayer of Ottawa; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; one grandchild, Teresa Farmer; one sister, Laura Kimber; and two brothers, Joseph and Laverne Capello. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Church.
