Eric "Big E" Cook

Eric G. "Big E" Cook, 46, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Loyola Hospital in Maywood.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, December 2, 2016 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, prior to the services, at the funeral home.

Eric was born August 23, 1970 in Joliet to Robert and Bonnie (Jacque) Cook. He married Sarah Grammer on December 10, 1994 in Marseilles.

Eric was a cement mason for Local 11 for over 20 years. He previously owned S&E Concrete. Eric was a member of Local 11 area 161.

He is survived by his wife, his mother, Bonnie Nattsas of Morris; two sons, Jake and Keagan Cook, both of Ottawa; three siblings, Lisa Cook of Matteson, Tony (Jessica) Cook of Joliet, and Tracy Cook of Ottawa; three sisters-in-law, Gail Thompson and Erica Grammer and Cindy Harden, all of Ottawa, and Peggy Freeman of Seattle, Wa.; one brother-in-law, Mark (Kim) Grammer of Ottawa; many nieces and nephews; life long friend, Brian Brookman; and his little buddy, "Cotton".

He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, Mary and Coy Cook; step-father, Richard Nattsas; mother-in-law, Marge Grammer; two brothers-in-law, Dennis Harden and Matt Grammer; one sister-in-law, Gretta Erickson; and his favorite pet, Moser.
