Emma M. Kneebone, 93, of Naplate passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the LaSalle County Nursing Home where she was lovingly taken care of for the past eight years. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Noon Saturday November 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s Church in Naplate with Rev. Fr. Agustin Kassa officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 to 12:00 on Saturday at St. Mary’s Church Naplate. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Emma was born January 7, 1922 in Standard, Illinois, a daughter of Louis and Josephine (Preci) Cavatorta. She married Dr. William Kneebone on December 12, 1960. He preceded her in death November 11, 2003. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Naplate and was a member of their Angel Squad. She worked at Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Company for 40 years before retiring. Emma is survived by seven nieces and nephews; fifteen great nieces and nephews; and five great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her mother and father; four brothers, James, John, Guido and Andrew; two sisters, Mary (Sam) Mucci and Anne Bray all of Ottawa; one niece, Mary Ann (Jim) Simcich; and one nephew, James Cavatorta. Pallbearers will be her great-nieces and nephews, Nicholas and Christopher Frig, Mark, Kaitlyn, and Mariclaire McConnaughhay. Memorials may be made to the LaSalle County Nursing Home so they can continue to care for our elderly as well as they took care of Emma.
