Elsie Engel

Elsie M. Engel, 95, of Ottawa died Sunday, August 30, 2009 at her home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Peter Brick officiating. Burial will be in DeBolt Cemetery in Wedron, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 1:00 Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Elsie was born April 13, 1914 in Repley County Illinois to Joseph and Margaret (Bultman) Rimstidt. She married Virgil Engel on December 23, 1936 in Ottawa, he died October 20, 1990. Elsie worked at St. Joseph Health Resort for over 25 years. She is survived by one brother, Warren Rimstidt of Ottawa; one sister, Bertha Miller of Verseilles, IN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, two brothers, and a nephew. Memorials may be directed to DeBolt Cemetery in Wedron.
