Ella Budias

Ella Budias, 84, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at Heritage Woods of Ottawa. Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013, at St. Mary's Church of Utica, with Msgr. James Swaner officiating. Burial will be at St. Columba Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home. Ella was born April 16, 1928, in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, to Joseph and Ida (Bartholwitz) Walakovitz. She married Robert Budias on October 6, 1956 in Bath, Pennsylvania. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1985. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa. She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia (Elgin) Nicholas, Robin (Jerry) Hilton, and Karen (Roger) Carroll; one brother, Richard Walakovitz; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and a son in infancy. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association and Heritage Woods.
