Elizabeth Miller

Elizabeth "Betty" Miller , 92, of Ottawa, IL, died, Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Pleasant View . Betty resided at the Congregate Center ten years prior. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Friday, February 12, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Msgr. Jerome Ham officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery in Schererville, IN at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 -pm, Friday, February 12 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded. Elizabeth "Betty" Miller was born April 24, 1917, in Dyer, Indiana, to the late Michael and Henrietta (Velink) Bush. She married Herbert Miller November 2, 1940 in Schererville, IN. He died November 21, 1961. She worked in the downtown Ottawa Sears store until it closed and also for the Ottawa Elementary School System. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and was a volunteer for Ottawa Regional Hospital at Reruns. Betty also had been President of the Marquette High School Mothers club. She is survived by three daughters; Juanita Pike of Ottawa, Janice (Vito) Dalzot of Spring Valley and Kayla (David) Russick of Indianapolis, IN; two sons, Dr. Ronald (Jane) Miller of Wilmette, IL. and Rodney Miller of Ottawa; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and three sisters. Memorials may be directed to the Donor's choice or American Diabetes Association.
