Elizabeth "Nickie" Martin

Elizabeth Nicole "Nickie" Martin-Wade, 31, of Ottawa passed away Monday, April 8, 2019.

Funeral Services will be at 11 am, Friday, April 12 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am, prior to services, at the funeral home. She will be buried at Galloway Cemetery in Fall River Township.

Nickie was born March 15, 1988 in Newport, Arkansas to Donald C. and Diann (Burton) Martin. She had a love for animals, and when she was younger wanted to save all the stray kittens she found. She loved gardening, roses, playing piano, and music; especially "Picture" by Kid Rock. Nickie had a true heart of gold and would help anyone that needed it. She was a kind person and thought the world of her family, especially her cousins.

She is survived by her parents, Diann and Don Martin and Linda DeBolt; three children, Destiney, Zaden, and Elijah; her grandfather, Herb (Penny) Comer; two brothers, Jason (Nicole) Joyce of Texas and Tim (Kathryn) DeBolt of Sandwich; two sisters, Ashley (Alejandra) Duenas of Cicero and Amanda Curry; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, HL (Betty) Burton; and her paternal grandparents, William (Ruth) Martin.

Pallbearers will be Mickey Martin, Ronnie Martin, Jr., Randy Hooper II, Tim DeBolt, Tyler DeBolt, and Rusty Day. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Martin, Sr., Randy Hooper, Sr., Francis Kelley, William Dean, and Billy Dean.
