Elizabeth "Nana" Hornbeck

November 15, 1932 — June 7, 2013

Elizabeth G. "Nana" Hornbeck, 80, of Ottawa passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Funeral Service for Nana will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Deacon Corey Krengiel officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 3:45. She will be buried in St. Columba Cemetery at a later date. Nana was born November 15, 1932 in Ottawa, Illinois to Alfonso and Delores (Herrera) Diaz. She married Richard "Dick" Hornbeck June 18, 1974. He passed away September 11, 2009. She retired after 30 years of service with LOF. She enjoyed baking, cooking Mexican food, and being with her friends. She was also an avid Cubs and Bears fan and liked to play bingo. She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne (James) Torres two sons, Tom (Danna) Stillwell and Kevin (Kerri) Stillwell all of Ottawa; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a step-son, Mike Hornbeck of Alabama; a step-daughter, Terri Temple of Mississippi; six brothers, Robert (Connie) Guerrero of Utica, Tony Guerrero of Hanover Park, Butch Guerrero of West Chicago, Charles (Judy) of Streator, David (Melanie) of Aurora, and Rudy Guerrero; and five sisters, Henrietta of West Chicago, Valvina Perez of Montgomery, Frances (Hardy) Lee of Southern, Illinois, Monica Guerrero of West Chicago, and Theresa Guerrero of Batavia. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hornbeck and her late husband William Stillwell; her parents; three sons, William "Jerry", Ron, and Steven Stillwell; her step-father, Cayetano Guerrero; two brothers, Nacho and Alfonso Diaz; two sisters, Carmen LeBeau and Delores Landeros; and one grandson, Chad Stillwell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh, Ronnie, Seth, Nate, and Jared Stillwell, Jimmy and Jeremy Torres.
