Elizabeth A. "Betty" Freeman, 80, of Ottawa, died Monday December 8, 2008 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM Friday at St. Columba Church with the Rev. Ronald Dodd officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Betty was born March 1, 1928, in Guelph, Ontario Canada to Albert and Mary (Fach) Klein. She was a Nurse's Aide at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Survivors include 2 daughters; Barb (David) Webb of Arlington Heights, IL and Leslie (Mark) O'Connell of Hayward, WI; 2 sons; John (Wendy) Freeman of Rolling Meadows, IL and Jim (Carisa) Freeman of Antioch, IL; 7 Grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Justin, Lauryn, Andrew, Annie, Fiona, and Ian; 3 sisters; Mary (Joe) Heeg, Margaret Buck, and Pauline Klein. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Pallbearers will be John, Jim, and Andrew Freeman, Mark O'Connell, David and Justin Webb, and Jay Less. Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association.
