Elizabeth M. Fick, 86, formerly of Ottawa, died Friday August 27, 2010 at Spring Valley Nursing Home in Spring Valley. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Church with Msgr. Jerome Ham officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday with Prayers at 7:00 PM at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Elizabeth was born February 17, 1924 to Peter and Anna (Wilms) Katrein in Ottawa, Illinois. She retired from Batistinis Grocery in Ottawa. She was a life member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 33. She married George E. Stewart Sr. December 25, 1944. He died November 3, 1976. She then married James L. Fick October 6, 1978. He died May 10, 2005. She is survived by one son, George E. (Angela) Stewart Jr. of Dwight, KS; one daughter, Carol (Roy/Skip) Louis Jr. of Ladd, IL; six grandsons; two granddaughters; twelve great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, George Stewart Sr. and James Fick; one daughter, Pamela Hall; one grandson, Patrick Stewart; three great-grandsons; six brothers; and three sisters.
