Elizabeth T. Burke

Elizabeth T. Burke, 78, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, October 24, at St. Francis of Assisi Church with Msgr. Jerome Ham officiating. Visitation will be 4-6 PM Friday October 23, at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4:00. Elizabeth was born July 14, 1931 in Ottawa, IL to George and Hannah (Morgan) Haas. She married Raymond Burke September 15, 1951 at St. Columba Church in Ottawa. He died December 17, 1998. Elizabeth was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, the Chicago Suburban Antiques Dealers Association, and was Co-Owner of Ray and Beth Burke Antiques. She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth (Roger) Reiss of Somonauk, IL; two sons, Raymond (Kathy) and Michael (Dawn) both of Ottawa; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lori Graham of Joliet. She is preceded by her husband; two brothers, George and John Haas; and one sister, Barb Graham. Pallbearers will be Tom and Andy Reiss, Chris Gomes, Shawn Burke, Doug Collins, and Danny Graham. Memorials may be directed to the family.
