Elizabeth C. Blazik, 77, of Ottawa passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 at OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Church with Rev. Michael Adrie officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Elizabeth was born October 2, 1935 in Ottawa, Illinois, to Robert and Victoria (Doer) Grossman. She was a member of St. Francis Church and Altar & Rosary Society. She was a very loving, caring woman who loved her grandkids, loved to dance, loved to play bingo, crochet, going to Minnesota to fish and eat snapping turtles, was a gardener and loved birds. She was a straight "A" student and was a graduate of Marquette High School. She is survived by three daughters, Diane Blazik of Ottawa, Rose (Larry) Andel of Joliet, and Barb Scurti of Ottawa; three sons, Patrick (Connie) Burke of Ottawa, Larry "Buff" Bell of New York Mills, MN, and Jack "Jake" Bell of Otter Tail, MN; fourteen grandkids; many great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Rosier; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by former husbands, Floyd Blazik, Gene Burke, and Jack Bell; one sister, Marcella Bliss; and one brother, Robert Grossman. Memorials may be directed to the family.
