Elizabeth Basky, 86, of Ottawa, IL, died, Thursday, February 10, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center, in Peoria. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday February 14, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Church with Msgr. Jerome Ham officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 on Sunday at the Ottawa Funeral Home, with prayer at 2:00 PM with the Catholic Daughters of America. Betty was born June 14, 1924, in Detroit, Michigan, to Charles and Gertrude (Bongartz) Giudici. She married Michael Basky on August 26, 1944, at. St. Francis of Assisi Church. He died March 22, 1990. She retired in 1988 from the Ottawa Medical Center after 20 years. She was a member of St. Francis Altar and Rosary and Catholic Daughters of America. She is survived by her daughter Michelle (Ronald) Eisert of Marseilles, her son Charles Basky of Austin, TX., one granddaughter Ann Renee (Abe) Fisherof South Elgin and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her two brothers, Peter and Joseph, and two sisters, Virginia and Maria. Memorials may be directed to Mass Cards or St. Francis Building Fund.
