Eleanor Stubblefield

Eleanor A. Stubblefield, 82, of Seneca, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Morris Hospital. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home with the Rev. Cheryl Roberts of First Congregational Church in Marseilles. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Seneca. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. She was born March 15, 1926, in Seneca, to Harry and Alma (Carlson) Erickson. She married Robert Stubblefield May 19, 1948, in Mineola, Texas. He died Dec. 10, 1987. Survivors include two daughters, Terri (Larry Michaels) Stubblefield and Karen (Al) Hicks, both of Seneca; three sons, Robert (Jean) and Richard (JoAnn) Stubblefield, both of Marseilles, and Jack Stubblefield of Seneca; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and one sister,Evelyn (Bea) Anderson of Seneca. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joseph Erickson. Pallbearers will be Rick, Kevin, Kyle and Robert Jr. Stubblefield, Ian Hicks and Brian Lowe.
