Eleanor Meagher, 87, of Normal, formerly of Ottawa, died Monday, Feb. 16, at Heritage Manor in Normal. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ottawa Funeral Home. She was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Streator, to Joseph and Eva (Matysick) Bronovich. She married John J. Meagher Jr. on Jan. 30, 1947, at St. Mary's Church in Naplate. He died July 5, 1997. She had worked for Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Company and Luminous Processes. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church Survivors include a daughter, Joan (Dennis) Wallem of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Douglas and Daniel Wallem; and two sisters, Susanna Barry of Ottawa and Veronica Kaskovich of Streator. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Meagher, a brother, Rudolph Bronovich; and four sisters, Ann Norris, Mary DeGrazio, Barbara Galletti and Antoinette McDonnell. Pallbearers will be Doug and Dan Wallen, Dan McDonnell, Don Leonard, Micky Curtin and Mike Whitney. Memorials may be made to the family.
