Eleanor (Steele) Goebel

Eleanor Goebel, 83, of Spring Valley formerly  Ottawa, IL, passed away Thursday at Aperion Care Spring Valley her husband by her side.

Private services and Burial will be at St. Columba Cemetery on Wednesday. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with her services.

Eleanor was born November 3, 1938, in Iaeger, WV, to Roscoe and Juanita (Roberts) Steele . She married Roy Horn September 2000 in Joliet, Il.

She worked for American Volunteer at Hud Housing as a Complex Manager. She was a proud member of the Cherokee Indian Nation, she was a collector of many American Indian artifacts.

She is survived by her husband Roy Horn; six children , many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a an sister.

Eleanor was preceded in death by parents and one son Lance Goebel .
