Eleanor A. Egler

Eleanor A. Egler, 90, of Ottawa, IL, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Ottawa Pavilion. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with the Rev. Douglas Williams officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Seneca. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 on Saturday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Eleanor Egler was born July 26, 1919, in Morris, IL, to John and (Linnea) Anderson. She married Kenneth Egler May 29, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA. He died March 30, 2004. She retired from the Valley View School District. She also attended Evangelical United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sister Dellora "Dee" Chapman of Ottawa; two nieces, Dee Ann Heimer of Ottawa and Peggy (Dale) Silberhorn of Rockford, IL; and one nephew, Don (Parnudda) Chapman of Alexandria, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister, Ruth Youngburg. Pallbearers will be Scott Peddicord, Mike Small, Joe Hughes, and Bob Nowicki. Memorials may be directed to Evangelical United Methodist Church.
