Eleanor B. Boam, 97, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Mendota Lutheran Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Friday, April 21 at St. Columba Church with Rev. Corey Krengiel officiating. Visitation will be from 9-10 am, prior to the services, at St. Columba Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois. Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with her services.
Eleanor was born August 28, 1919 in Chicago to Jacob and Bernice (Madja) Wiencek. She married Frederick K. Boam on September 7, 1941 in Chicago; he passed away August 24, 1981. Eleanor was a member of St. Columba Church.
She is survived by one son, Robert (Nancy) Boam, three grandchildren, Kristen (Kevin) LeRette, Brian (Bridget) Boam, and April Boam; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Fred M. Boam; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Wright; and two siblings, Mark Weincek and Mary Mocadlo.
