Elaine Kay Davis

Elaine Kay Davis passed away on June 7, 2023 at her home in Ottawa, surrounded by her family. She was 81 years old. She was born to Meritt and Ruth (Gernentz) Davis January 10, 1942 in Peoria, Illinois with her twin sister, Lorraine.

Elaine enjoyed Christmas, decorating her home, watching court television shows, shopping at resale shops, and, above all, pouring out her love to her children, grandchildren, two sisters, and her cousins. She is survived by her children, Ronald Legner and Joseph (Julie) Legner; her grandchildren, Christopher and Tiffany Legner and Joseph and Thomas Legner; and her sister, Carol (Jim) Jeffries. She was preceded in death by her son Richard, her twin sister Lorraine, and her parents. A celebration of life open house is planned for close friends and family in Ottawa on July 4.
