Elaine Baker

Elaine Baker, 53, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Thursday, May 29, 2014 at St. Columba Church with Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements. Elaine was born June 20, 1960 in Ottawa, Illinois to Paul and Elizabeth (Heltemes) Baker. She was a member of RCIA and was on the City of Ottawa special events planning committee. In the past she worked for The American Red Cross of LaSalle County and was the Activities Director at Heritage Woods of Ottawa. She was a gymnastics coach in Palestine. She was a past board member and volunteer for Pet Project. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth; one sister, Linda Baker; one aunt, Barbara Williams; her cousins, Kathy Vilven, Dan, and Tom Williams; and many friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Paul; and her uncle, Jerry Williams Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society.
