Eileen "Ivis" Mcgrath

February 13, 1929 — March 24, 2019

Eileen "Ivis" McGrath, 90, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Sunday March 24, 2019 at Pleasant View.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00, Saturday March 30, 2019 at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 pm Friday with prayers at 3:45 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.

Ivis was born Feb. 13, 1929 in Ottawa, Illinois to John and Anne (Clark) Donahue. She married Bob McGrath June 25, 1949 at St. Columba Church. She was a member of St. Columba Church, Altar and Rosary, Catholic Daughters of America, Ottawa Moose and she volunteered at the Ottawa Hospital.

She is survived by her five children: Michael McGrath, Dennis (Cathy) McGrath, Sally (Ed) DePaoli, Patrick McGrath, and Jim (Kellie)McGrath; seventeen grandchildren: Tricia King, Tiffanie (Jay) Wayland, Tracey (Bob) Nolting, Tisha (Jessie) Menke, Kelly (Chris) Vlasvich, Carrie (Jake) Campbell, Nickolas (Nicole) Eddy, Nathan Eddy, Joshua (Sandra) McGrath, Rob (Ashley) McGrath, Tom (Brooke) McGrath, Joe (Kara) DePaoli, Tim DePaoli, Ryan(Lori) McGrath, Deana (Jeromie) Gass, Jonathan Eggemeyer, and Stacey Eggemeyer; Thirty one great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Earl (Phyllis) Donahue; and two sisters: Mary Schaibley and Josephine (William) Parrott.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Carol Wells; four brothers: John, Francis, Thomas, and Nicholas; and one sister, Claire Rohlman.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Josh, Rob, Tom, and Ryan McGrath, Joe and Tim DePaoli.

Memorials may be directed to St. Columba Building Fund or Marquette Academy.
