Edna Kammerer, 99, of Ottawa passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Ottawa Pavilion.
Funeral Service for Edna will be 1:30 Monday, May 8, 2017 at Epworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Carolyn Lukasick officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 - 1:00 Monday, prior to services, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery.
Edna was born April 30, 1918, in Dwight, Illinois, to Peter and Kjerstine (Mattesen) Knudsen. She married Frayne Kammerer on August 9, 1938 in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1972. She worked at PVL for many years in the housekeeping department and she was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Godwin of Marseilles, Gerry (Patricia) Kammerer of Naplate, and Sheila Wells of Roswell, GA; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; one son, Robert Kammerer; five brothers, Christian, John, George, James, and Oscar Knudsen; three sisters, Johanna Anderson, Bertha "Tootie" Marie Schrolucke, and Margaret Brown; two son-in-laws, Dave Wells and William Godwin; two grandchildren, Bret Godwin and Tammy (Godwin) Treest; and one great granddaughter, Keller Jackson.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kevin Kammerer, Brian Kammerer, Matthew Godwin, Scott Kammerer, Andrew Wells, and Tanner Wells.
