Edmund J. Donohue, 76 of Peru, passed away Monday, November 10, 2008 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 14, 2008 at 11 A.M. at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery with full military rites. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Morgan and Brian Sloan, Zachary Cofoid and Son-in-laws: Timothy Cofoid and David Sloan and friend: Kenneth Harmon. Visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family. He was born on January 6, 1932 at Ottawa to James W. and Mae (Haugh) Donohue. He married Arlene Horn at St. Columba Church on May 4, 1957. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Erin (David) Sloan of Villa Park and Kathleen (Timothy) Cofoid of Granville, one son: Timothy J. Donohue of St. Louis, four grandchildren: Morgan Leigh and Brian David Sloan, Zachary Andrew and Aidan Matthew Cofoid, one sister: Agnes Miller of Wallace Township and one brother: James Donohue of Wallace Township. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Mathew Donohue. He worked for L.O.F for 40 years and he farmed all his life in Wallace Township. He was a graduated of Marquette High School with the class of 1950. He served his country as a Sergeant in the Korean War.
