Earl T. Vernoy Jr., 75, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at 6 pm, Monday, August 7 at Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 4 - 6 pm, prior to the services, at the funeral home.

Earl was born February 12, 1942 in LaSalle to Earl T. Sr. and Mary Agnes (Fleming) Vernoy. He married Bonnie Lee Saager on December 30, 1967 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa.

Earl retired from Libby Owens Ford after more than 40 years. He was a past member of the Ottawa River Rescue Squad, and he loved fishing, camping, traveling, and bird watching.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Tina (Dan) Meagher, and Teri (Ron) Martin Jr., both of Ottawa; and five grandchildren, Zachary and Alyssa Meagher, Kyle (Tiffany Dippel) Mucci, and Austin and Ashlynn Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and seven siblings, Spike, Barb, Madonna, Liz, Jeanette, Jean, and Melody Ann.
