Dustin Brewer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Dustin Lee Brewer on September 8, 2024, at the age of 45. Dustin's sudden departure has left his family and friends in deep sorrow, and he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Born on May 1, 1979, to Sheila K. Brewer, Dustin was a beacon of kindness and warmth. His caring nature touched everyone he met. An avid mushroom hunter, Dustin had his secret spots that he kept to himself. He found immense joy in fishing, hiking, and spending time in the great outdoors.

Affectionately known as her "hippie child" by his mother, Sheila, Dustin had a deep love for The Grateful Dead and Widespread Panic, often traveling to attend their concerts. He was easily recognized by his favorite tie-dye shirts and could frequently be found in his garage, enjoying his beloved music.

Dustin was also a talented artist, passionate about creating jewelry and blowing glass. He took great pride in crafting unique pieces for his family, ensuring each member had a special creation just for them.

In addition to his artistic talents, Dustin had a deep love for the earth. He often took time to enjoy parks and would clean up garbage, showing his commitment to preserving the environment.

Dustin is survived by his loving mother, Sheila Brewer, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15, from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place at 3:00pm at the funeral home.
