Dorsey Covey

Dorsey B. Covey, 79, of Ottawa, Illinois, died, Monday, July 25, 2011 at Ottawa Pavilion. Memorial Services will be on August 9, 2011 at 11 am at Harvest Bible Chapel, 800 Rohlwing Rd. in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Burial will be on August 11, 2011 at 11 am in Eagle River Cemetery, Eagle River, Wisconsin. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ottawa Funeral Home. Dorsey was born November 30, 1931 in Boscobel, Wisconsin to Smith C. and Vivian (MacDonald) Davis. She married Charles A. Covey on January 23, 1954 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He died June 4, 1996. She attended the Eastman School of Music and the University of Illinois in Champaign. She and her husband were both violinists. They met while playing in the University Symphony Orchestra. She is survived by three daughters, Karen (Edward) Boltz of St Charles, Susan (Philip) Marbach of Naperville, and Nancy Covey of North Carolina ; and one sister, Sally (Chuck) Eckfield of Maryland; seven grandchildren, Erika, and Collin Boltz, Stephen, Eric and Cameron Marbach, Trevor and Evan Jenkins.
